Fast food/ straws at Maccas letter(satire Piece)

To whom it may concern
I am writing to you to express my greatest disappointment. Although I do enjoy eating at your many high quality establishments, I find myself faced with a very big issue.
I have noticed that you have stopped giving out straws to customers, and this to me is alarming. How are we supposed to drink our sodas to wash down our meal. And whats your alternative? Fibre based straws. No thank you! They go soggy in my mouth and are not congruous to the sort of fine dining experience I am looking for when I come to McDonalds.
I see no need for change, I only eat at McDonalds around 4 times a week, thats 4 times I have to drink my large coca cola without the use of a straw. I can only imagine how many others feel the same as me.
First it was the plastic bags in supermarkets, now its this. Are the food industries just trying to make my life hard? I don’t know how to consume a drink like this without the proper drinking implement, its the same as you giving me a burger without a knife and fork, I mean come on!
I only came to this restaurant on the recommendation of one of my friends; here is what she had to say:
“Great food in a great atmosphere! Service was amazing, staff very friendly and food is good value for your money. Very sanitary and clean, a magnificent place to bring kids and families. Thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience and McDonalds would have to be in my top five places to eat. Would definitely recommend!”
After hearing this, I assumed I would be knocked off my seat with your food and service. Sadly this was not the case, and if my friend had mentioned this straws issue to me I would never have stepped a foot in there.
As a consumer I am giving you my hard earned dollars and I expect to be heard. As i’m sure my feedback is essential to you and your team.
I believe all people should live by the motto, “If your going to do something, do it right.” Well McDonalds you are certainly NOT doing it right!
Forget about the pollution in the air and the sea life dying because of one use plastic, my experience as a customer is surely more important. Of the billions of tonnes of plastic in the sea, only 2,000 of those tonnes are straws. Clearly, straws are not the issue and I see no reason for you to stop providing them to us. It is pure neglect to your customers.
Paper straws cost a lot more. who is going to pay the difference? you? or me, the customer. Speaking on behave of everyone who eats McDonalds, i’m sure the whole world agrees with me on this problem, we refuse to pay for crummy paper straws!
